How to Recover from Google Penguin Update?
Is your website traffic and ranking is affected by Google Penguin? We all know that Google Penguin is an algorithm against poor quality of links. So is there any way that we can get rid of Penguin problem?
Do read this blog post of mine to understand how to recover from Google Penguin update?
Honestly, I posted some blogs on Google Penguin update in past and some of them are:

Although I have emphasized that with the updates like Panda and Penguin, Google is trying its best to deliver the best search results to its users. And through all these updates Google is also trying that the webmasters should follow the quality guidelines strictly on their website.
Basically if you are aware of the recent changes in the field of SEO then the thing which Google want to emphasize through these updates is go for original, quality and informative content on your website which should always benefit your readers, and which should get natural linking. People should like your awesome content and refer it on places they have the access. It should not be the case that you should ever ask someone to link to your website.
So, if your website is publishing unique and informative content, and not at all involved with any foul play with developing links to it, it should rank well in Google search results.
For any chance if your website got affected by Google Penguin update then what is the way to recover from it? Being an SEO I use to get such questions being asked by many people. My usual response in this case is try to build (rather earn) quality links and get rid of poor links to your website is the best approach you can apply to recover from Google Penguin update.
It is being said that to recover from Google Penguin Penalty, Google Disavow Links Tool came as the best tool. It is undoubtedly true that with the help of this tool you can disavow the links which you think are of poor quality. Honestly you don’t have a control on who can link to your website and from which page, but once you detected that people are linking to your site from a page which you consider as irrelevant or of poor quality then you can simply disavow the same from this tool and Google will also consider your request.
Those who don’t know how to use Disavow Links Tool, can also check this blog post of mine on how to deal with negative SEO and use disavow links tool.
If your website is hit by a Penguin Penalty, other than getting rid of the poor quality or bad backlinks of your website, what else you can do? Well you can simply ask the webmaster of the site to remove the poor quality links to your website, or you can disavow the links, but other than these you can also simply ignore those links and try to grab quality links naturally too.
It is like every links is having a value attached to it, let’s say poor quality links are having the value as -1, though good quality links should have a value of +1. This way if your site is having a few pieces of poor quality backlinks, then it can be neutralize by the same numbers of good quality links. And this way if your website starts attracting more and more good quality links, once the overall value of the links will shift towards some positive value.
Is not it true?
I guess yes. This is how I recovered a few websites of my clients in past as well. The focus of the webmasters should always remain to how they can attract quality links to their website and that too naturally. Being a site owner you should never try to ask someone to link to your site.

I guess these blogs can be the helping hand to you to understand everything related with Google Penguin update or penalty.
Let me tell you about one thing, we SEO’s spend a lot of time to understand what Google actually wants to suggest through its algorithms. Although the biggest issue with Google updates is that there is no as such documentation which can define the updates in a powerful manner. We SEO’s interpret it in different ways.
We do implement the things on our website in different ways only. Obviously the way we interpret the things we implement the same on our websites too. Some of the ideas give us positive responses, while some of the ideas give us experiences as well. Whatever I try to blog in different blogs of mine are based on my own experiences and I can say that these are my own assumptions, though if you read them, you might realize that my assumptions are right.
Reason being what I always try to implement is the quality on the websites. If you are delivering the same, you need not to worry about anything else. When it comes about Google Penguin penalty or update too, and if your website is hit by it, you should start considering the quality of the backlinks of your website.
It is the only thing which can help you to recover from it, though it totally depends on your which approach you want to follow to get rid of such penalties.
