Delhi Based Online Education Portal CollegeDunia Raised INR 1 Crore!
I was wondering that funding’s are meant for technical websites only, but I was wrong. Recently I came through the news that a New Delhi based online education portal namely College Dunia, has raised around 1 Crore INR, approximately 1.6 million dollars from different investors during last few days.
I was thinking that education section is something which is mainly ignored by investors. But I was wrong.

Recently I came across a few more press releases from different websites like VCcircle and Iamwire.com which illustrated the same news. The reason why am I writing two blogs on the same topic? The reason being, number one, it is a portal on online education, which I always appreciates. Second one being it is from New Delhi. Third one being the fact that they are really doing a great job to enhance the education industry and I appreciate it too much.
With the help of these funds they are suppose to enhance the technology and operations of their website. This is something which is pleasing me too much.
Ideally within a few months (they are founded in May 2014 only) they are now coming up with data on around 700 colleges from India, and I guess with their expansion plans they might reach to 7000 to 8000 colleges soon. Students will get huge benefits of the same.
